Gem of a B&B in Akaroa!
Super clean, wonderfully welcoming and great hospitality! Would highly recommend this gem in the Banks Peninsula. Awesome breakfast too! It felt like we were coming home due to the warm welcome from Sarah.

We stayed 2 nights and were treated to the best of a B&B experience. From the meet and greet from Sarah to the sumptuous breakfast everything was top notch. Our room was well appointed with en-suite. We were also well advised on local dining and our dolphin cruise. Off street parking was a bonus.

Sarah was the perfect hostess. From the warm welcome to the helpful advice she was wonderful. Her breakfast is amazing. Much more than we expected.

A beautiful spot in Akaroa! The breakfast was a lovely continental breakfast – cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, croissants, cold meats etc Sarah, our host, was lovely and very informative. She gave us several great recommendations on where to dine and things to do in the area. Banks House is a lovely original old house. We love this type of accommodation and the house is very tastefully decorated with antiques and beautiful furniture and soft furnishings. It’s very easy to walk everywhere from this location.

A very relaxing place to stay Sarah and was the perfect host.
Awesome property and great location. Sarah was amazing -gracious, friendly, informative, hardworking, not to mention she set a great breakfast spread. Thank you Sarah, we hope to be back on our next trip to Akaroa.

An absolute fantastic stay! The old house with its history, nicely renovated where needed. Sara was very welcoming and prepared an amazing breakfast every day. I would always stay again. Oh, and did I mention the cosy lounge with open fire!? Great for winding down and reading in the evening.

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our friends’ special birthday. From the moment we arrived Sarah and the next day Sharon made our stay perfect. The rooms were lovely & the upstairs deck stunning for drinks before walking to town for dinner. Breakfast was great, cereals & lovely fruit especially the roasted tamarillo. Gardens were beautiful, would highly recommend Banks House.
